REFLECTIONS OF SELF, UNIVERSE, AND THE DIVINE

We are publishing a series of insights and experiences of Oneness in our journal. Please check them often. In addition, scroll down for some older articles and links chronicling our experiences

Everything we see is a reflection of ourselves. And as our seeing grows, we no longer see anything outside of us. Everything is a part of us, the experiencer and the experienced connected together completely. Many years ago, I attended a 21-day retreat for enlightenment in Satyaloka, India the birthplace of the Oneness movement. We had the great blessing of having a darshan (meeting) with Bhagavan. After the darshan, we were sitting outside the hall contemplating the experience. Other spiritual seekers were going for darshan and I wondered and asked Bhagavan, what do you see when all of us come in front of you?

Suddenly, for a moment, Bhagavan gave me the Sight of how He sees. His Seeing is so different from ours it is almost impossible to describe in our words. Can you imagine what it is to See something and know that it is not outside you, that in fact nothing you see is not you. Seeing, Seer and Seen are one in this Seeing!

This was an intensely fundamental and transformational experience. For a day or so afterwards my head ached from the intensity of it. Afterwards, I found it much easier to understand many of the teachings that were being given to us. A physical change had occured in me and a long awaited process begun.

Many of the insights here came to me in heightened states of awareness. Frequently, this understanding and exposition come during or just after the experience as I contemplate on the experience. I have a great time writing these experiences and I hope you have a great time reading them too. I pray that they help you connect with higher states of consciousness.
